Strengthening Cross-Border Partnerships Within Access Bank Group

Ms Ama Somuah-Boateng, Head of Multinationals & Regional Corporates at Access Bank (Ghana) Plc, recently visited The Access Bank Malta Limited as part of an ongoing strategy to deepen collaboration between the two subsidiaries within the Access Bank Group. Her visit follows The Access Bank Malta’s recent licensing by both the Malta Financial Services Authority and the European Central Bank, positioning the Malta office as a critical hub in the Bank’s global expansion and a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe.

During her time in Malta, Ms Somuah-Boateng engaged with the leadership of The Access Bank Malta, including CEO Renald Theuma. Discussions focused on identifying opportunities to better serve multinational and regional corporate clients through enhanced trade finance and treasury services.

The visit highlighted Malta’s potential as a servicing centre for Ghanaian and African corporates seeking to do business across European markets. It also reinforced The Access Bank Malta’s commitment to delivering tailored financial solutions that align with the evolving needs of its multinational customers. Looking ahead, both entities aim to collaborate on strategic initiatives that include bespoke trade finance structures and support for companies operating across multiple jurisdictions.
